Any advice welcome,
I took out an IVA in November 2009 and paid off in full in October 2012, however they not not complete it until December 2014.
My credit is good now and recently was approved for a car loan. I am looking to get a mortgage and am hearing conflicting reports on whether this is possible or not.
Any ideas? Thanks

Hi JaimeG1981,
You would need to contact an independent mortgage broker to discuss this in more detail, but just be careful of their fees. The issue you may have is some mortgage applications may ask have you ever been insolvent, if they do then you would have to declare your IVA even if it has completed and no longer showing on your reports.
It your IVA started in 2009 it should no longer be showing on your credit file, if it is you may want to speak to the credit reference agencies about having that removed. Good luck,
Laura
