I sent a secure message a while ago and received the following response:
Your Portman accounts are not yet available to view online however you
can still access information about them by contacting the Nationwide
Customer Contact Centre for ex-Portman account holders on 0845 60 90

I was told by my local branch that its probably going to take months for them to sort out the computers. ??
Kid on the till had to use a hand held calculator to sort my P account, much to the annoyance of the Q behind.0 -

Or you could use the geo number that I was given a couple of weeks ago that goes to the department dealing with Portman accs:- 01793 576716Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
I thought P'man accounts were still being dealt with in Bournemouth? That being a Swindon number!:rotfl:0

I was given that number a couple of weeks ago when making enquiries via Nationwides freephone, (0800 302010, that answers as "Welcome to Nationwide"), number and was told that the number took me to the department dealing with the Portman cheque distribution etc, I called it on Saturday and the person who answered tried to put me through to the department, but could not and she suggested that they might not work Saturdays, she took my details and said that they would call me today,(they haven't up to now).
I have just called the number,(01793 576716), and it is answered automatically as " Nationwide Electra House Helpline" it then put me in a queue, I gave up after 8 minutes.
So there is a difference with the numbers, but as of yet I cannot confirm100% that I will get straight through to the departmentDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
