Hi,

I've just had a revised memorandum of sale (2 weeks later) with added comments that are VERY open to interpretation in my opinion. Do I need to email back with clarification or does it not matter as this document is not that important?

Thanks

  • Wouldn't the solicitors confirm all of it which would be included in the contract. I think so long as its correctly written in the contract pack, it should not matter as to what's written in Sale Memo.

I am going through the same process currently and just reviewed the list of fittings and fixtures by the vendor.
Home buying yet again!! Fingers crossed!!

How can we possible comment without knowing what the 'added comments' are?

They might be significant and need clarification.

    They might not.

Seems like OP has edited his original post :P It was something related to the fittings and fixtures with regards to the windows. Wonder why would OP edit that :/

For the record here's the OP - I wish posters wouldn't edit posts like this!

    Hi,

We told our EA that we would be replacing certain glass panels from our windows at the rear of the house. We had an offer put in, no 'subject to windows' etc. It's been done regardless.

I've just had a revised memorandum of sale (2 weeks later) with added comments that are VERY open to interpretation in my opinion - just says 'rear windows - glass & seal replaced, but not window frames'. That could read that we have agreed to replace every single piece of glass at the back of our house? Which is not the case? Do I need to email back with clarification or does it not matter as this document is not that important?

    Thanks
