Wouldn't that be classed as 'fronting' though?

OK so a 1 month cover sounds like the best bet.Increasingly money-conscious

So BMW is in my name, my wife will be driving it but she is the main driver on her insurance policy. All ok?
Forgive my naivety on this.Increasingly money-conscious

Read your insurance certificate to see that your insurer has dangerously misled you over both being legally covered driving the uninsured car (3rd party cover only) using your DOC (which is actually for driving cars you do not own!)0

Why would it be insured to fill up with petrol but not for other reasons? Sounds like it isn't really insuredI thought I had. Sheila's Wheels told me I could drive it to 'fill it up with petrol' etc... Maybe I need to check with them then...Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
3. I understand that if we transfer ownership this weekend we would lose the bulk of this month's cost. Could be wait until the end of the month so that we get the maximum tax refunded or is this illegal?
Thanks in advance.
You'll get no more tax refunded by waiting than selling now. It's based on whole months so April is already gone in terms of refunding the tax.
I always try to sell the car before buying a new one or at least time it so they overlap sufficiently to have valid insurance for test drivingwhat do most people do? Take out temporary insurance so prospective buyers can legally test-drive?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
