Lowest cost Ireland/Northern Ireland needed

Hi me and my partner have decided to get married in Jan/Feb/March of 2018. We are looking for a midweek wedding to keep costs low. We have 5 children between us so we really can't be spending much on the wedding so are trying to find low cost alternatives wherever we can. The guest list will be about 100 people. The lowest prices venue we could find so far is a £1750 package for the 100 guests that includes a sit down meal. Does anyone know of an alternative venue that could do the same for less including a sit down meal? We are living in Northern Ireland so up here would be preferable but are open to travelling down south for it if it were more cost effective.
Also if anyone can offer any other cost saving ideas of vendors for dresses, dj, flowers, anything at all it would be greatly appreciated. Our total budget for everything is £4000 max.
Thanks in advance.

There is also a weddings board, where you might get more information.
However, a wedding, if you want the bells and whistles (as opposed to just the piece of paper) is going to cost. Ideally you should get hitched before 5 children come along, but what's done is done, and you'll just have to cut your coat according to your cloth. It is not because things are difficult that we dare not venture

In fairness to the OP, I read it as the couple had 5 children who would become step siblings once the couple is married so I think an apology may be in order.
For dresses try Lindybop they have lovely dresses that can be worn as wedding dresses.
As for the packages I'd be careful - that means for £17.50 per person, they would provide the package plus the meal so I'd look them up on trip advisor first.
Does it have to be a sit down meal?0 -

They don't go into detail. I imagine it's something along the lines of she's had a couple with her ex, and he's had a couple with his ex, and they have one more between them. Not unusual these days.
In any case the query was about money and cost, and I think as suggested the Northern Ireland board might be a good place to look. With 5 kids between them they're not going to be able to do a Posh and Becks. It is not because things are difficult that we dare not venture

OP, I got my dress at phase eight, for under £300 in the sale.
it wasn't officially a wedding dress but suited me and the look I wanted/ the venue0 -
Is it just me or does circa £17.50 per head seem like an amazing deal already?

No I thought £17.50 was excellent as well - provided the reviews met my expectations0 -
We got married in Newcastle and had our after do in Hugh McCanns which is just off the promenade, which meant we got some beautiful pictures on the beach. It was 5 years ago but they were doing it for £1000 for 100 guests. They handled everything perfectly and were very helpful when booking. Hope this helps 0

Hugh McCanns is very reasonable indeed.0 -
If you can get 100 people a sit down meal for 1750 I would snap their hand off. That is less than half your budget and is generally the most expensive part to pay for. Dresses look at places like Debenhams or Monsoon and buy something for a few hundred instead of thousands. Don't have lots of bridesmaids and ushers who need special clothes, just dress up the kids nice and have them. Juts keep it simple and don't have all the frills just because you think you should.0
