Postal Money Order

New to MSE Forums, so hope I put this question in the correct place.
Received a postal money order from the USA for $60, but having difficulty cashing it. Royal Mail customer service say they don't cash it, so I telephoned my bank (RBS), and they had not heard of a postal money order at first. Then they said it would cost £7 to cash it, but still not sure he knew what he was talking about.
The money order is from "United States Postal Service", I don't know if that makes a difference.
If ANYONE can help that would be fantastic!!

Very easy to find the answer on Google, but in short you can't cash it in the UK.
