in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
Hi I have just bought a Samsung U600 mobile on Ebay. I paid by paypal. When I received it this morning it wouldn't switch on with or without sim card although it charges ok.

I have emailed the seller to say I will be returning it as it isn't as described and as of yet had no response. However my question is what happens now ? Do I have to report this through paypal or just wait for the seller to refund my money ?

Any advice welcome

    Wait a few days for the guy to reply, no point in considering anything else until you are sure they are avaiding your emails.

    If he is a business seller he may not reply until Monday. Have you held the on button down for a few seconds? Most modern phones are switched on via the software and can take a while to respond.

    He has now replied saying the phone was working when it left him and refusing to accept it back. He is a private seller and he suggests taking it into Samsung for repair!
    I have held the power button down for longer than 60 seconds and it still doesn't switch on.
    There was no physical damage to the parcel and was well packed.

    Open a dispute through paypal, when they instruct you to return it make sure you send it back by a trackable method.
