Hi, I cancelled this last August when I went to virgin, but I just received a letter today saying the policy was about to expire but they automatically renew, and when I checked my account they still have been taking the money ( I know I should have checked before this) I phoned them and they acknowledged the fact I cancelled and they are going to look at paying back the money, but not committed to doing so, I will get the money, but will I also be due interest on this money if they do pay up?

They won't pay interest if they are making a goodwill refund. However, the interest would only be a few pence anyway.0

At £9.99 a month, we are talking about c. £80? Interest at 1%pa for 8 months would come to about 53p...
Sky Protect is completely pointless anyway, as once out of minimum term you can always blag a free call out, so I'd be more concerned about the £100pa you have been wasting. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
