What's the best way to insure our cars?

My wife and I have two cars, one each, but we both must be able to use each others.
I have my car insured with her as a named driver and vice versa, however we are getting a new car shortly and getting rid of her old car. I have 3 years NCB and she has 1 year NCB.
She will be the main user of the new car, for work and back ect.
I think it will be cheaper to insure in my name and her as named, but I'm concerned how that would play out with her being the main driver.
Any advice?

short answer is you cant.basically she is the main driver so must be stated so on the insurance otherwise its fronting.
however given you are married and have access to each others cars surely the difference wouldnt be too great?0 -
I think a lot of people misunderstand fronting. Fronting is mainly parents insuring cars for their teen offspring, with the teen as a minor named driver. It can occur between husband and wife if there are substantial risk differences in occupation. Generally most people are standard risks. Also if the teen is fronted as a secondary driver then more insurers are starting to charge the premium for the highest risk, so only if an insurer charges a minimum premium would fronting occur. The man without a signature.0
