The wonderful Irish Landmark Trust which offers holidays in country houses, lighthouses and towers across Ireland and Ulster is giving away £200 in vouchers to a lucky Oldie reader who can answer this question:

What connects a Martello tower in Sandymount, Dublin, and a British comedienne (1910-79), who appeared in the St Trinian's films?

The comedienne is Joyce Grenfell. James Joyce lived in, and set Ulysses in the Martello Tower at Sandycove, Dublin and it currently house the James Joyce Museum. I understand that confusion between Sandycove and Sandymount is common and I'm guessing that The Oldie has got them mixed up. I would go with JOYCE as the answer.
