Expat requires UK Bank Account

My younger brother wishes to open a UK bank account, he is living in Poland and has a UK Passport. Can this be done remotely. He just needs a simple cheque and internet account.

Yes no and yes.
1 All EU banks have to open an account for other EU member citizens.
All will have their own procedure I looked at Lloyds Bank as an example - you apply online print off the application form and enclose copies of your ID and send to the address given (this cannot be done in branch).
2 A basic account will not have a cheque book.
3 All accounts these days has internet access.0 -
