I hate Argos

Grrrrrrrr!!!!!

We ordered some bunkbeds from Argos and they left us a message to ring back to arrange delivery. So I rang back on the PREMIUM RATE NUMBER (yes, I forgot to check saynoto0870 !) to book it. They told me they could only give me a 6 hr delivery slot on Friday afternoon which was no good as DH would have been asleep after a night shift and then there were school runs etc. The woman was pretty rude and kept mispronouncing my name so I was fairly fed up afterwards. Then I rang back and rearranged it for Saturday as although it was a pain for DH to have to stay in all morning, it seemed a better solution.

Guess what - by 1.00pm they hadn't arrived. I rang up again to be told that the delivery had been rearranged for Monday morning. Only no-one had bothered to ask us if that was convenient, or even tell us. I finally got to speak to a manager who told me that she was very sorry and would look into it but they would send us some vouchers. I did say to her - why on earth would I want to shop at Argos again but I might as well have them.

I am livid about this. I don't believe that there was no-one available to bring me my goods as soon as they realised they had made a mistake. I also don't accept that they can only give me a 6 hour delivery slot. Do these companies expect us to believe that their drivers leave the depot with no route planned and therefore no idea at all when they are going to be at each place? I don't expect to know to the exact minute when the van is going to turn up but at least a 2 hr slot is easier to arrange.

Yeah so do i.. i have tried to get several (so called) sale items in the past.. with no joy, then it was mentioned to me that they only have so many of a certain offer at the stores, and thats it... SO why let you keep checking when the item is back in stock... when they know full well it won't be :mad:

My issue with Argos deliveries is that I always ask for PM delivery as I work nights and will be asleep until dinner time. On all three occasions I've bought from Argos they have tried to deliver in the morning. Why, well most people ask for PM deliveries so they try as many as possible in the morning. As my car is on the drive they know I am in.
