Heya everyone, just joined this site this morning and looking to test out just how much it could save me. I've just paid off all the money I owe (Only 17 so aint really deep into this student debt thing yet) and now I can afford it I really wanna go see a great friend down in Kent...Soooo Does anyone know the cheapest price I could get from Newcastle to Swanley from the 22nd..looking to return around 3 days later...I've looked myself and found about £60. I dont have a Student Railcard yet but am thinking of buying one...
Also if anyone could find me the best price for My Chemical Romance concert tickets at the Metro Radio Arena on the 11/11 I would be Immenshely grateful :cheesy: xx

You save 1/3 with a student rail card, and it costs £20, so you would start saving money after than first journey, as it would cost you £40 instead of £60. If you make a couple of long journeys a year, a rail card is worth it.
Listen to local radio (Metro fm?!?!) and try winning some chemical romance tickets!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
As well as buying the railcard (I can't live without mine!), you might find it profitable to look at splitting the journey up into each leg, especially if it involves more than one journey provider... For example - to get from home to uni one way would cost me £27.05 if I booked a ticket from Peterborough to High Wycombe. However, if I book Peterborough - Kings Cross (FCC - £12.50), and then Kings Cross - High Wycombe (Chilterns Rail - £7.95), it only comes to £21.45. Only saves me £5, but thats the same as a cinema ticket/lunch/eyeshadow/couple of pints!!
Look at it the same as you would buying a new pair of jeans - shop around first!**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
Someone else from High Wycombe... HEYHEYHEY!

Can't wait to get back and see Eden open! gna be aweeeesome!0
