Ticket machine not working

Hi
I parked at my local Morrisons car park a few weeks on a Sunday whilst I shopped. The car park is managed by Parking Eye. The ticket machine is located next to the lift, only it was showing as out of order so I couldn't purchase a ticket. This has been the case on the last two occasions that I have used the same car park so I haven't purchased a ticket and haven't received a fine. This time I have. I know in hindsight I should have taken a photo of the ticket machine as proof but as this has been the case on two previous occasions and there were several other people using the car park whilst in Morrisons who didn't buy a ticket due to the machine not working.
Whats the best way to go about this ?

You should get the drift from those. I hope you come back to update us - unlike some of the recipients of the advice in the threads above who clearly only 'take'!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
