No, it's called state capitalism.:)
Communism is what you get when the zombie robot apocalypse is complete, everything is available in abundance, and money has ceased to exist.
I know my Marxism.:)0 -
Hi.
Can someone please explain to me what Dim Tim is on about.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39865800
How does not leaving the single market that we are currently in suddenly generate an extra 100bn?
He seems to be suggesting that if I don't actually cut off my left leg, I will in fact end up with three legs.
Perhaps we could decide to not nuke France, thereby saving billions in war costs, that can then go to the NHS.0 -

Has Jezza clarified if he's reintroducing the small business rate of CT, or is he shafting small business owners for 26% aswell?
Oh, just seen he has let them off with 21% Thank god.0 -

No idea matey.
He sure doesn't sound like a strong and stable leader.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
"Nowhere" is precisely what there is "in between".:)
In or Out, that is the question. And the answer was Out. Much to my disappointment as I voted In. But there you go, you don't always get what you want.
The EEA is out of the EU: May's view of Brexit is out of the EU.
Are you saying there is nowhere between the two? Defining EEA as in the EU is avoiding the point
The EU claim being in the EEA includes FOM: May claims being out of the EU is by definition out of the single market and customs union. And the negotiation has still not started. Where is the pragmatism here? Both sides seem determined to cut off noses ....Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

...or maybe they have votes to win at home first.
If the need arose in a year+ time, they would happily dump (I mean clarify) anything which was said today.0 -
The EEA is out of the EU: May's view of Brexit is out of the EU...
Given that we have had a referendum that asked the question; Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?, and that a majority said 'leave', I'd tend to think that May is right....

I am not defiing the EEA as anything. I am telling you that;
(1) Article 128 of the Agreement on the European Economic Area states that "Any European State becoming a member of the Community shall, and the Swiss Confederation or any European State becoming a member of EFTA may, apply to become a party to this Agreement."
There is no provision for membership of the EEA for anything other than EU and EFTA members. By invoking Article 50, the UK has made itself ineligble for EEA membership.
(2) And that Article 1(2) states that the "association shall entail ... (b) the free movement of persons"
Therefore membership of the EEA involves accepting the free movement of persons.
That's what the treaty says. End of story.0 -

Hang on, I thought that we were being told that we have to wait for the manifestos before finding out how all the promises were to be "fully funded" (a.k.a met out of borrowing....)?
