Imagine what could have happened with a half decent labour leader

Probably a Con majority if by "better" you mean more centrist.

On the other hand, if the Labour PLP had got behind the choice of their membership rather than doing their best to undermine him from the start and knowingly damaging the party in the process.....

No I don't agree. The con campaign was very flawed. Instead of Brexit and b****y foxhunting they should have gone for 'where's the money coming from?'

Yeah because we didn't hear the Maybot endlessly repeat 'Magic Money Tree' and similarly meaningless platitudes.

Magic money tree was an ok ish phrase, but they never got into th nuts and bolts of where the money was going to come from.

not that it matters now...interesting times, I'm sure may will be gone very soon.

The only weakness in the Tory campaign was to show what their real attitudes are - nasty, spiteful, uncaring, and putting their interests ahead of the people they're governing.

Which, curiously, was the strength of the Labour campaign under Corbyn. Had he not had 24 points to catch up at the start that would have shone through even more.
