I am looking for a new moniter but have no idea where to start, I want a flatscreen and I think a 17" would be big enough but that's as far as I go, I do not know any of the "techie things" associated in choosing.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
Thanx.
Sorry I should have made myself a little clearer I did mean a TFT. Thanx to all who have replied.

If you are lookgin for a flat screen
gor a low response time and i a high contrast figure.
Have a look at the digimate L-1916 on https://www.aria.co.uk
thats a 19" tft but is very good
using two myself side by side as i type this
frakDig inside; inside is the fountain of good, and it will forever flow, if you will forever dig.0 -
What kind? Both TFT LCD and some CRT monitors can be described as 'flat'. If you're strapped for cash and don't mind heavy lifting, then one of the latter would be adequate.unicorn wrote:I want a flatscreen
On the other hand, that's probably what you're trying to get away from. Am I right? I recently found a handy little guide which should give you an idea of what to look for in a TFT.0 -
Whichever monitor you decide on, I suggest you try to see it in action before buying. A lot of the cheaper flat panel monitors still give the image a rather "dotty" appearance, which not everyone likes.
If your graphics card can output digital, it may also be best to go for a monitor which can accept digital, rather than using the old-style analogue connection. Again, however, cheaper flat panel monitors are usually analogue input only.0
