    Afternoon all,

well thats us done for the bank holiday weekend. Its been largely spent doing stuff in the house. Hubby has done the hard work and ive been supervising, providing liquid refreshments and generally getting in his way.:D

We were going to have a 'shed' day but hubby has collapsed in a heap in front of the telly. Its raining now and he's worked really hard and although i'm disappointed, i cant really complain but i cant let him forget its impossible to get the lawnmower out the shed without breaking a bone. He comes from a long line of hoarders, he admitted it to our neighbour this morning that he's a hoarder so i am glad he recognizes it.

It was a lovely morning i have to say which bought out all the neighbours into their gardens.... chatting to each other and being sociable.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great evening all..

OK I'm ready for this lurgy to go away now. I woke with a migraine this morning which has subsided to a dull throb now. DH has still been working outside but I have managed to clean the oven - the first time since we got it a year ago! Actually it doesn't get over used because the house is empty a lot of the time and it was reasonably clean, so now it's sparkly.

TA, I hope you manage to avoid SIL at the do. I know how you feel, I had an ex-SIL who I could happily have slapped - she made mum's death all about her, even though for many years she hardly saw mum and dad.

What a glorious, but cold, day it's turned out to be here. Surprisingly!

My friends went off early doors for a long bike ride, the daughter slept here until midday, and we all met up at this delightful cafe where we sat outside looking at the beauty of Loch Sween. Then I took them to the cake shed (honesty box place) where we ate home-made cakes in the sunshine.

Such a lovely day with friends. Now I'm ready for a glass of wine and a sit down. Hair cut tomorrow morning first thing. My friends are booked onto a RIB trip in the morning and a beaver walk in the evening.

Happy days. Hope you're OK TA and survived the relations!

  • Well folks, I survived the get together cos we didn't go!!!! Mr TA kept looking at me this morning and finally said that if I was as anxious as I looked about going then he would rather we didn't go!!! I knew I felt wound up but didn't realise I looked it too! I felt as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

Nice SIL (Mr TA's DB's wife) texted me when it was over and said it hadn't been too bad and Me-Me-Me SIL hadn't been too full of her own importance for a change. (She has the same opinion of her as I and many others have)

Have a nice evening folks - from the first class wimp!!
    xx

T/A you have more than enough going on in your life with hospitals etc and don't need additional stress with humpty disagreeable relatives. Glad today gave you both a break you probably really needed
