The following terms and conditions apply.
Terms and Conditions - Participants and Eligibility
This promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man residents aged 18 years or over at the date of entry. Employees of the Promoter and its associated companies, dealers, agents and members of their immediate families or anyone connected to the creation and administration of the promotion shall not be eligible to participate in the promotion.
To be eligible to win a new standard model 2017 Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade (“Fireblade”) you must be aged over 21 years of age at the date of entry and have a full motorcycle A licence (“Fireblade Requirements”).
If you do not satisfy the Fireblade Requirements, you will be eligible to be entered into the draw to win one of the Merchandise Prizes described in clause 19).
If you do satisfy the Fireblade Requirements, you will be eligible to be entered into the draw to win both the Fireblade and/or the Merchandise Prizes.
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
How to Participate
The Promotion opens on 21 March 2017, when the competition post is posted online on the Facebook and Twitter accounts listed in paragraph 8). It closes at 18:00 (GMT) on 20 April 2017. Entries received before or after this period will be automatically disqualified.
Participants will only be included in prize draws made after the date that they enter. For draw dates, please see paragraphs 19) and 22) below.
To be entered into the prize draws, you must take a selfie photograph of yourself with a display model of the Fireblade at any one of Honda (UK) Motorcycles’ authorised On-Road Dealers (“Selfie”) and enter your photo into the prize draw in one or both of the following ways:
“Follow” @HondaUKBikes on Twitter (https://www.twitter.com/HondaUKBikes) and tweet your Selfie from your Twitter account using the hashtag #FirebladeSelfie;
“Like” Honda (UK) Motorcycles on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HondaMotoUK) and send us your Selfie via Facebook Messenger using the competition link posted by Honda (UK) on the page.
If you use the hashtag #FirebladeSelfie without uploading your Selfie either on Twitter or in Facebook Messenger, you will be sent a personalised good luck video incorporating your name and profile picture. This will appear within the chat on Facebook Messenger and on your Twitter profile on Twitter. This video will guide you to how you can locate authorised Honda dealers and submit your entry.
You are not required to use the “Find a Dealer” tool in order for your entry to be valid. It is provided to assist you with locating authorised Honda dealerships.
When you upload your Selfie in accordance with paragraph 8) above, you will be sent a different video. This video will incorporate your profile picture, name and Selfie. This will appear within the chat on Facebook Messenger and on your Twitter profile on Twitter.
You are not required to “share”, “like” or “re-tweet” (or interact in any other way with) this video for your entry to be valid. The videos detailed in paragraphs 9) and 11) will only incorporate content from your Account that you have chosen to make public. If your name and profile picture are set to be private, the Promoter will not be able to produce a video for you. This will not affect the validity of your entry.
In order to complete your entry you will be required to fill in an online entry form (“Entry Form”) to confirm your name, age and contact details and whether you hold a motorcycle A Licence. The Entry Form is available at http://selfie.honda.co.uk:
For entries made on Twitter, the Promoter will contact you directly to require you to complete the Entry Form.
For entries made on Facebook, participants will be directed to a link to complete the Entry Form via Facebook Messenger.
Your entry is not complete unless and until you submit the Entry Form.
No purchase necessary. Dealer opening hours may vary.
You will need access to the internet and you will need to have an active social media account with Facebook or Twitter (an “Account”). If you do not have an Account, you will need to create one in order to participate in this prize draw.
All entries must be made using your own Account. Participants can enter a maximum of once on Facebook and once on Twitter. Third party or bulk entries will be excluded from the promotion and the Promoter cannot accept responsibility for any entries lost or delayed for any reason. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry not made in accordance with these rules.
All entries will be moderated by the Promoter and any entries deemed to contain any explicit, illicit or offensive content (to be judged by the Promoter in its absolute discretion) will be disqualified.
All entries and any accompanying photographs or other material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt.
By submitting your entry and any accompanying photographs or other material, you agree to:
assign to the Promoter all intellectual property rights with full title guarantee which you may hold in your entry and any accompanying photographs or materials; and
waive all moral rights in and to your entry and any photographs or materials otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
As a consequence of this condition, the Promoter may use your entry and any accompanying photographs or materials for any purpose, whether they are related to the promotion or not, which shall include but not be limited to displaying or making your entry available on its website https://www.honda.co.uk and/or any other media including any social media accounts.
Where your entry or accompanying photograph or other materials include the image of a third party, you warrant that you have that third party’s consent to use their image in your entry or any accompanying photographs or materials and that third party agrees, by featuring in your entry, to assign any intellectual property rights and waive any associated rights that they may have in the entry or accompany photographs or materials in which they feature to, or, for, the benefit of the Promoter (as applicable). Where that third party is under 18, you warrant that you have obtained such waivers and consents from that individual’s parent or guardian. For the avoidance of doubt, such third party consents shall also extend to the use of the entry and any accompanying photographs or materials by the Promoter in accordance with clause 15).
The Prizes
All winners will be selected at random from all valid entries submitted in accordance with these terms.
The first prize is one new standard model 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade with a lacquered tank, signed by a current BSB rider (the “Fireblade Prize”). The Fireblade Prize does not include insurance, tax or any additional items.
There will be four runners up prizes, each of which is a British Super Bike 2017 jacket signed by a current BSB rider (each a “Merchandise Prize”).
The draws for the Merchandise Prizes will take place on the following dates:
24th March 2017;
31st March 2017;
7th April 2017; and
14th April 2017.
The winner of each Merchandize Prize will be announced by Honda (UK) Motorcycles on its Facebook and Twitter pages within 48 hours of each draw.
The draw for the Fireblade Prize will take place on 21st April 2017. The winner of the Fireblade Prize will be announced by Honda (UK) Motorcycles on its Facebook and Twitter pages on 21 April 2017.
The Promoter will contact each winner within 48 hours of each prize draw using the details provided on the Entry Form. Once contacted, all winners will be required to acknowledge the prize and provide their address details within 48 hours of contact.
If you have won the Fireblade Prize, you will need to provide a scanned copy of your A Licence within 7 days of request by the Promoter. If the Promoter does not receive a response within the timescales set out in these terms, the Promoter reserves the right to draw another winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Subject to paragraph 23), each Merchandise Prize will be sent to the relevant winner by recorded delivery or courier within 28 working days of the winner being drawn. It is the responsibility of each winner to ensure that the address details provided are correct.
The winner of the Fireblade Prize will be required to collect their prize. The Promoter will liaise with the winner of the Fireblade Prize to agree a reasonable location, time and date for collection. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to arrange this date for within 28 days of the winner providing the scanned copy of their A Licence. The Promoter will reimburse the winner for reasonable travel expenses incurred in collecting the Fireblade Prize as long as such expenses have been agreed with the Promoter in advance.
The Promoter accepts no liability for failures of any website, hardware, software or IT system resulting in a communication failure.
Disclaimers
No cash alternative is available and the prize is non-transferrable. The prize is subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to offer a substitute prize of greater or equal value in the event of the prize becoming unavailable. The Promoter will have no liability if a winner is unable to take up the prize for any reason.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant or winner as a result of or in connection with entering this promotion, including in accepting or using the prize, or any damage to any participant's or other person's computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of entering or downloading any material relating to this promotion. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
The Promoter reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this promotion in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the promotion is not capable of being conducted within these terms and conditions or in the event of a virus, computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the promotion.
Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the promotion in a manner which in the Promoter’s opinion is contrary to these terms and conditions or by its nature is fraudulent or unjust to other participants (including but not limited to tampering with the operation of the competition, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices), may be disqualified at the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion.
Any entry that could be fraudulent, defamatory, offensive, abusive, obscene, hateful, inflammatory, libellous, or that makes reference to the Promoter or any of its group companies, its dealerships or any other motor vehicle manufacturer in a negative way, or in the opinion of the Promoter, damages or may be detrimental to the brand, reputation, standing or goodwill of the Promoter or any member of its group of companies or their products may be disqualified at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
The winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity and by participating in the promotion you agree to the Promoter’s use and publication of your name and any photograph or other material submitted with your entry, in all media, for promotional and marketing purposes and making your name available to third parties upon request.
The decision of the Promoter is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

To obtain the winners’ details, please send a stamped addressed envelope to Honda (UK), Cain Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1HL. Limited details, subject to any restrictions imposed by the Data Protection Act 1998, will be provided in line with any such requests made within 1 month of the closing date of the promotion.
These terms and conditions are subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
