How about local parish / county magazines? My local one sometimes runs a articles on weddings and has adverts for venues / hair etc. Could you make up some little business cards and ask wedding venues / bridal shops if you could leave some there?0

Are you on social media (instagram in particular)? Whenever you have a couple hire your stuff for a wedding then chances are there will be professional photos taken, get a copy, check with the photographer whether you can post it (crediting their social channels), make sure you tag the venue as well and anyone else featured (are there flowers in the background? Who did them? Tag them too), that way you build links to the venues etc without necessarily being on a supplier list (although if you can on those too, so much the better). When planning something, people will check out photos from previous events and if you tag and hashtag things properly people should start to find you for their own events.0

Do you have stalls at wedding fayres? These are always a good place to advertise and show potential brides what you have to offer.Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.0

Sponsored posts on Facebook for people getting married could be effective0

Thanks all apart from social media what websites do people go on?0

I'd suggest contacting a number of wedding venues and ask how you get added to their brochures that they hand to potential customers. They've always got a list of recommendations.0

Being a recommended supplier for some local venues is a cheap but effective method of advertising, as well as building links with other local suppliers so you all recommend each other if brides ask. Local wedding fairs too are good. However social media is your best method and there are ways to do it well with lots of photos, blogs, competitions, etc. Unless you have a local wedding site or magazine then I'd only advertise if they were free. You have a lot of competitors and are limited in the area you can supply to so targeted/local advertising is best.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
