Unfortunately here on the west coast the gardens have no need for more rain! The plants I put out yesterday are well and truly watered in now.
And it's piddling down still. I'm glad I cut the grass last week even though the ground was soggy as it's growing at a rate of knots.
I've been to the tip, avoided the shops as I really don't need anything, hung up the remaining photos and paintings and then generally mooched around. Friends should be arriving in the next hour or so if the traffic hasn't been too bad - haven't looked at the reports or had on the radio. They'll come when they come.
I've got the woodburner on as it's pretty chilly.
Now I'm going to put on a DVD, think it'll be Fantastic Beasts.
Hope the weather isn't too bad anywhere else.0 -
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) Judi, I know where you are coming from.0

Slightly damp walkies with Ronnie, but it gave me the opportunity to try out my new waterproof trousers, that I bought with part of the gift voucher I won. They work a treat! :T So no more soggy skirts, and no more wearing Mr LW's waterproofs that make me look the the M!chelin Woman.
Ronnie decided he didn't want to go our usual route, so I took him the opposite way. Doesn't matter one iota to me, as long as he goes for his walk; if he prefers to go in the direction of the post box, that's fine.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy Easter to those of you celebrating, happy Sunday to those not.
Hugs Judi.
Got up with great intentions to eat 'well' today........porridge with blueberries and banana for breakfast, in the last half hour have demolished most of the lovely egg OH bought me....why am I such a weakling??
As I cooked enough sides yesterday to go with ham for todays dinner that is what we will have, lamb will keep for tomorrow.
We have had a shower earlier but the sun is shining again now. Might go out to greenhouse to get rid of some of the rubbish still there from last year, as I wont have to water any plants today.
DD1 will be back from her weekend later, thought that she was staying until tomorrow, she obviously has something she wants to do tomorrow, she is renovating my garden at present but unfortunateĺy doesnt know weed from keeper so will need to keep an eye!
Was very pleased with the apple sponge cake I made the other day.......just a 3egg sponge mix with extra sugar and 3 chopped cooking apples mixed in before cooking.......will try it with thubarb tomorrow as at this stage I have to buy the applex, rhubarb is free.
Hugs to all in need or want of one, have a good day, whatever you are doing

LW our old cocker used to get to the top of the drive nd then sit down when she wasn't feeling like a walk. The same with our poodle when she got older, although she did manage a bit further but then would turn round and head for home. I just assumed they knew their own bodies and let them have their way. Poodle used to act as a sheepdog for thee cocker when she got old and deaf, she'd wake her if we called her and acted as her guide on walks.
I'm still feeling a bit fragile but have done a few (very small) jobs this morning, mind you I didn't get dressed until 1.30.0 -
Afternoon all
Hugs Judi.
We've had lots of visitors today, people from work and family all coming to have a look at the boat.
We've shopped for brie and olives today, we'll be near a big Tesco tomorrow so will stock the cupboards there.
I'm cooking chicken and roast pot and veg for tea.
Have a good day everyone

Just a quick post to say hi, I am not around much, doing so many things I don't seem to have the time to catch up with all my online friends, but haven't forgot you and all the kindness that you spread among each other.
Hope you are all well. Didn't want to read and pass Judi's post without saying something - sending hugs and thoughts your way.
All the best my dears, maybe see you again online in a few days' time. xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
