Hi,
Just received the letter from the solicitor advising the competition date will be on the 28th April. Woop woop I should be excited but now I have a date I can formally advise the landlord as have to give a months notice.
Now I am in a predicament as could be paying for both Mortgage and rent.
How do I get around this?

Have you actually exchanged contracts based on this date?
The only way round it is to negotiate with the Landlord for an early release.
Bear in mind a months notice must coincide with a rent day so it may be nearly two months if you are unlucky. But don't give notice till you have confirmed exchange.0 -
You only get a confirmed completion date after you have exchanged contracts. If you haven't exchanged contracts this date could change.0

What date of the month does your rental period begin (usually the date of the month you pay rent)?0
