Bank of Scotland Mobile Phone Authentication

I posted this on an earlier thread ... but I can't be the only one with this problem when setting up a new payment.
I've a problem with Bank of Scotland getting through to my mobile number (orange) to authenticate a new payment ... tried several times, but no joy. Had a good signal all the time. I rang them to see what the problem was, after being put on hold for ages, I spoke to someone who said it was my mobile phone provider who may be blocking the number, but that does not ring true, as sometimes they get through to the mobile number.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I was thinking of going to the bank and going through the process in front of them, but Sod's law ... it will work then.

Seems unlikely this is a problem on their side. I've never had any problem with Lloyds, Halifax or TSB who all use the same system.1

Couple of things you could try.
1. contact you mobile phone network, ask them to look at the logs for your phone, see if they can see the bank number trying to get throug
2. if you have access to a spare phone (pref on the same network) then change your number at the bank, wait the few days they require and then test it1 -
Sorry, just to clarify the above, I mean the network logs not just your call logs - you will have to get put through to network level technical support for them to access those.1

I've had this problem with Santander but it's my phone or network not the bank.Usually works fine but twice texts have not come through even when showing signal ok.1
