BPA member parking fine

Hello, I've read the newbies advice but I'm a bit lost by all the great info on the site.
We park every weekday in a station car park managed by a BPA member but pay via Ringo app.
We've just changed our car But forgot to amend the registration plate of the car - paid for car parking via the Ringo app for a week and came back to find a ticket on the windscreen (as reg plate different to registered car).
we contacted the BPA member but they've written back saying that the appeal was reviewed with all evidence, prominently displayed signage and that the car was not clearly displaying a valid ticket or had an active RingGo session when this Charge was issued and that it is the drivers responsibility to ensure a valid session is in place so unable to cancel the charge.
It is a genuine mistake as soon as we realised we changed both our accounts to the new car and set up new payment (so the car park got paid extra as we couldn't amend the current session - landowner got extra payment on three days). We were just expecting a little bit of leeway as we supplied proof of payment from Ringo to them.
They have said that we have have two options pay £60 fine within 14 days or appeal to popla and if lose have to pay £100 They have provided a verification code.
SO they they know where we live and our new car reg as we appealed to them.
Basically just want to know where we stand - do we pay as they now have all our info and put it down as a lesson to be learnt?
Your advice would be welcomed.

you do not have to pay a penny, POLPLA is not binding upon the motorist, and is wholly funded by the British Parking Association limited, POPLA will decide on if the parking company has followed the BPA ltds code of practice (COP) which the BPA ltd wrote itself.Basically just want to know where we stand - do we pay as they now have all our info and put it down as a lesson to be learnt?

As this possibly/probably involves bye-laws, under no circumstances name the person who you think could have been the driver, or give any hints as to who the driver could have been
Also if you could name the parking company this will allow us to offer you better advice on whats coming next, and how to deal with it.
You should also post up what you plan to send to the parking company as your initial challenge to the parking charge notice. From the Plain Language Commission:

I think that a BPA roundel where Popla is not on offer is misleading, possibly even a breach of the Trade Description Act, (or would that be SOGA?)You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

As far as i know POPLA is only available to BPA ltd members who are also in the Approved operators scheme (AOS) parking companies and other entities can also be members of the BPA ltd, but not in the AOS - using their membership of the IPC to offer Mr Hurleys so called IAS schemeFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Hello and thank you for your quick replies. Just spoken with my other half who completed the form on their website when the ticket was first issued and that the box was ticked to state driver rather than keeper. So it looks like we've given them the info to chase the claim. The BPA company is Minster Baywatlch. Not sure now where we stand as it would appear they have all the information they need now.0

MB is an IPC company and any IPC appeals will be fed back to Gladstones so they can issue a claim. Check what you have said but do not appeal further with the IPC.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

When did they jump ship? They are still showing as BPA members on the BPA website as well as their own website, unless my search engines are playing billy suggers.
I can't find them on the IPC AOS list either.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Giraffe, you need to determine if byelaws apply to the station car park. Some of the regulars may already know if you give us the location.
If byelaws do apply then you have nothing to worry about as the owner is liable, not the keeper or driver. The landowner (usually the train operating company or Network Rail) or their agent can take the owner to the magistrates court for trespass, but the parking company gets nowt if that happens.
Consequently the parking scammers will bluff and bluster (I call it lying) and try to convince you that you owe them money when they have no claim on you whatsoever.I married my cousin. I agree - no sign of them on the IAS AOS, they're definitely BPA AOS operators. Get this killed at POPLA.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would love to see the outcome of a IPC appeal when you clearly state that it was a " station car park " as this could very well be a railway asset and not applicable land for POFa
the BPA/dvla have stated their views , only in a magistrates court by the TOC , come on Mr Hurley what are your views on the matter ? (we do note that you are not encouraging VCS at JLA to commit suicide
EDIT
mister baywatch are BPA AOS , , just stick an appeal in saying "railway land " bylaw 14 , get lostSave a Rachael
