Tootle brokerage

Hi

I am looking to sell my car but am nervous about selling via Autotrader. There is a company called Tootle that claims to put your car details out to dealers and they in turn bid let you know what they would for offer it. I won't get the same as if I sell privately, but I am willing to take a hit if it's easier.

Has anybody used Tootle and if so, what was your experience like?

Get quotes and from We Buy Any Car, then look at prices on autotrader and ebay for similar and see how much of a hit you will take

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Or stick it on eBay so people can bid for it- just like that other company would do. Simples.

I'm trying to avoid the time wasting tyre kickers knocking at my door and I don't really want to get involved in test drives etc. I was wondering if anyone had experience of using Tootle as I would like to get more for the car than I would Part Ex-ing it, but without the hassle of selling privately. I appreciate I would get more on Autotrader or ebay.

I agree, it should sell easily, I just rather I didn't have to sell it. Another option is to see if a local garage will put it on their forecourt for me. I really don't want the hassle but garages offering Part Ex will take the mick.
