What can i drink in a pub?

Could someone advise what is the best drink to buy in a pub. I'm sure you will say don't drink alcohol, but occasionally I would like to.
Is it best to drink half lager, bicardi and diet coke or wine and lemonade. These are the only drinks i like. Also if drinking a soft drink is it best lemonade, diet Coke or j20.
Thanks for your advice.

Mixing half a lager, Bacardi and coke together sounds quite unpleasant.

If you need to come on a forum for advice on what to drink in a pub, then I hope I am not behind you in the queue for the bar!

I suppose it depends on the reason.
Cost - probably half a lager, calories probably a Bacardi and diet coke or dry white wine and sugar free lemonade.
Soft drinks the same - pump drinks are cheaper than J2O
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

It's best to drink something you like.

What other criteria do you have?

I drink wine. I like wine. Then a glass of water and then more wine.

Indeed! It also worth asking about any local or specialist drinks they serve. I didn't think I liked cider until I was persuaded to try some locally brewed cider in a Somerset pub.

OP is not giving us much to work with but vodka and soda water with a dash of lime is pretty low calorie.

Some pubs serve coffee at the bar.

I like lager and blackcurrant (half pints not full pints). I like vodka and orange too. I never really stray from those drinks unless I have a diet cola.

It was the calorie intake that I wanted to know. Sorry i don't like soda.
I will try the suggestion of a glass of wine and then glass of water.
