Can anyone recommend me a good sound recorder app for an android mobile phone please.

It is specifically for recording the excessive noise my neighbours make constantly so I can play it back to the owners.

I looked for one but couldn't see one

It's a Nexus 4 so should it have an inbuilt one?
I'm rubbish with technology and this is an old 2nd hand phone which is decidedly temperamental at times.

Not surprisingly, it is called "sound recorder" and I am pretty sure has been in every version of Android

Easy Voice Recorder Pro (they do a free version as well). Very clear sound.

download smart tools. one of the tools included is a decibel meter. you can save the readings iirc

I use Galaxy call recorder on Samsung phones and Call X on non Samsung phones.
