Hi all, just to wind this thread up, to answer my original question the bank (as predicted by the MSE gurus) accepted "we'll sell the flat" as a repayment strategy.

No, HSBC wheeled out the "can't give mortgage advice" line... even though I was talking to a mortgage advisor :huh: They don't offer advice on BTL so I used the calculator here:

There's a smokescreen laid by Brexit which hides a fair more complex situation. Jobs constantly move as Companies do.0 -
