One year fixed bond due to finish, need a temporary home

Hi

I have £21K in a fixed bond which is due to come to an end in October. The idea is to put £15K away instantly into another fixed bond and then find a good temporary home for the remaining £6K - it is a temporary home as the £6K will be destined to max out 2 ISA's in April 08, into my own and my wifes ISAs.

Two questions then,

What is the current best fixed rate bond?
and, where is a good temporary home for £6K?

To recommend a fixed rate ATM is not easy as they are changing all the time, but if you look through the threads here you will find some good ones listed.

For a temporary home for the 6K I would suggest an Icesave account, but I suppose it depends on what other accounts you have ATM in addition of the Maturing Fixed rate one!
