Sainsbury's Delivery Pass warning

The money-saving tip is this: if Sainsbury's deliver your groceries and you have a Delivery Pass, then it's a good idea to check your receipts. On two occasions recently, we have been charged for delivery even though we have a valid Pass.

I have rung up on both occasions and received a refund, but doing this is tiresome. On the last occasion, the woman at the other end suggested I should check-out twice to work around this bug in their system. Clearly they know about the fault and how customers can avoid the charge. I think it would be better if they fixed their software.

She also said she was refunding the money as vouchers and as "a gesture of goodwill". This is quite wrong. The charge is an erroneous one, and we are entitled to cash. I did accept the vouchers, but doing this is a gesture of goodwill on my part, not theirs.
