hi Can Anyone Advise Me What Type Of Tv To Get - Interested In Purchasing As Large Flat Screen Tv - Someone Has Said Go For Plasma And Not Lcd.
i M An End User So Not A Technical Expert - Looking For Surround Sound Too - Great Picture And Large Flat Screen.

Hi, I think people need a little more information about your requirements before they make suggestions. For example, what is your budget? Is built-in freeview a must or will you be using another source, e.g. Sky? How important is the sound (most built-in sound is generally not that impressive).

You could try posting on https://www.avforums.com - the website is completely dedicated to TVs, DVD players, Home cinema etc and is swarming with knowledge.

I believe that at 50 inches, the majority of sets are still plasma, although drop to around 47 and you start getting LCDs.
