Car Insurance... no claims discounts

my OH didnt have a car from Dec of last year so obviously didnt have insurance from when he didnt have the car. Now that he will be getting one (fingers crossed) will his no claims discounts he had be carried across for his new policy?

Yes, NCD is normally carried forward for up to 2 years.0
