I received a letter from prosearch regarding shares in Shell my dad held whilst he was still alive. He married a woman before he died, she has since married another man. What do I do?

My Mum sadly filled in the form not knowing what it was really about! They have ripped her off. Prosearch says it finds people who have shares yet didn't know about them. Well my Mum knew she had shares. How can they do??0
