Plusnet Connection charge

Am i right in thinking that Plusnet and from what i can see a lot of other Phone/broadband company's are charging you to connect each call?!?!?!
I'm looking to move my Fibre provider as BT are just too expensive for the service they actually provide! and Plusnet seem to get a lot of good things said about them. But if they are gonna charge 20p per connected call that may swing me into another providers arms!

The normal way to pay for calls to UK geographic numbers starting 01 and 02, non-geographic numbers starting 03 and UK mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079 from landlines is to purchase an Unlimited Anytime call package for around £8 per month. As long as each call does not exceed 60 minutes, there are no other charges to pay. A per-minute rate kicks in if the call exceeds 60 minutes. To avoid this, simply hang up and re-dial.
Note: BT is among the last of the landline providers to NOT include calls to UK mobile numbers. Almost every other landline provider DOES include these calls.
If you were instead to sign up for a "weekend" or "evening and weekend" call package, you will have to pay for calls made outside of those times. Those charges are around 20p per call plus around 12p per minute. On these plans, if you make more than two calls per week, each call just seven minutes long, you will spend more than what an Unlimited Anytime call plan would have cost. The limited call plans are usually a poor choice and a false economy.
Irrespective of call plan, calls to numbers starting 080 and 116 are free-to-caller.
Numbers starting 070, 084, 087, 09 and 118 are premium rate. These calls are chargeable, except a small number of landline providers still include some calls to 0845 and/or 0870 numbers in call plan allowances. As these numbers are banned for usage by customer service lines, financial services and public services, they are becoming increasingly irrelevant.

A big advantage of Plusnet is that they still allow the use of indirect access companies like 18185 - so if you don't make many calls per month it can still work out cheaper than paying for an inclusive package:)0

Or just use a mobile and a 3 pay as you go sim0

3p per minute is £1.80 per hour. Five hours of calls will cost £9.
Landline providers offer unlimited anytime calls for around £8.0
