Corner Metro Bank Branches Satety

The branch in Milton Keynes which is on a corner has been ram raided twice --

I think that Metro needs to look again at the safety features in place at the corner branches

Metro Bank seems to deliberately choose corner sites. All the ones that I have seen are on corners. Perhaps not such a good idea.

Plenty of non corner ATMs have been stolen by machinery.

As some has mentioned, all Metro Baanks are on corners as a company policy and to be fair, being on a corner wasn't the main reason it was rammed by a truck. It was rammed from a side of the building, not the corner. Lots of ATM's are stolen this way from other banks, petrol stations and post offices.

Not sure why we're worrying about this? A ram-raid to get an ATM won't affect many customers, other than inconveniencing them if they intended to use that ATM. Or the few that might have recently paid in via that ATM.

It's an issue for the bank, and affects all banks with road access, corner or not, so isn't a particular Metro Bank either. Any loss is the bank's problem, just the same as any other loss through fraud, hold-ups, burglaries etc.

If the OP is worried about it and thinks that corner sites are a problem (why would they be?) they might be better writing to Metro Bank with their security advice rather than posting it here.

One presumes that their safety deposit box room is truck proof, they are not insured

What has that got to do with the corner design of Metro Branches?
