What's dry meters ?
You really want WHD payment earlier when higher winter energy bills come in, not in May.
Also the way it is arranged isn't best, with WHD payment on electricity account when people may heat with gas and have different supplier for gas.
it is a concern for people with prepayment meters. for this that pay monthly/quaterly it really doesn't make a difference.
the reason it is allocated to electricity is because not everyone has gas.
again, it makes little difference as what you save on your electric will make up the difference on the gas0 -

Right now I have a British Gas quarterly winter gas bill I am late paying and I'm still paying Scottish Power electricity monthly payments.0 -
then it would make sense for you to choose dual fuel from the same provider.
it is usually applied to the last quarterly bill ( march 31st approx) and so it goes towards the largest bill of the year.
most people with pre payment meters would have received a voucher to top up before christmas.
its all been a bit haphazard this year, with the scheme only being kept on at the last minute.
i received the payment from scottish power the last time i gave a meter reading ( 4 weeks ago)0 -
I received the WHD from Scottish Power in early February (despite being told not to expect it until May) - £140 credit !!0
