Morning All
Nice that OH wants a story before bed csarina!
Showery and cold here this morning, I've been and collected my car this morning - had a wee refreshment with friends last night and left my car there. I was picked up in a lovely e-type jag to collect it, felt slightly poor getting into my jalopy!
The neighbours rabbits have been fed and watered (they are away for a few days) and the bins retrieved. DW on and washing hung on the pulley.
The anti-b's are doing their stuff, feel so much better today so really should tackle some of the little jobs hanging about.
Have a good day, take care. XX0 -
Specky a conflab is a chat. As in have a discussion as to where they want to go today.0

Morning all, I tried post yesterday but the Internet ate it so I gave in and did things instead.
It is grey and cold here, but I am on days off so do I care? I do not. I will have to pootle off out at some point though.
I have just had a piece of bread with honey, it felt quite personal as I made the bread and my friend's husband's bees made the honey.
Yesterday I blitzed the bathroom and now persons unknown, but for the sake of convenience I will identify them as my family, have washed messily and needs doing again. The kitchen would like a blitz too but am ignoring it, it is quite clean but not exactly gleaming.
Big pasta bake last night and tonight something chickenish. I sent OH out for salad yesterday and we ate it all again, so I'll get some later.
I have just realised that i forgot to get easter eggs, my name will be mud so that's something else to get, but not quite yet, this afternoon.
Hope you all having a good day and dumpling, you sound so upbeat, lovely to read.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
morning everyone!
I'm off to Amsterdam later today to spend a few days with my eldest DD, who lives there. Very excited as I haven't seen her since 2nd January. It will be my last visit as she's back to Leeds in July, with another year at uni to do from the end of September.
Youngest Dd is staying at home with boyfriend for company. I seem to have been hanging around waiting to go all morning and feeling increasingly nervous about the flight. Last year was the first time I flew alone ( at the grand age of 48! )....I get very nervous before I leave, but will be a little better once I'm out of the house. The flight only take an hour 15 minutes....really once once you get up you're nearly there! I'm meeting youngest DD in Newcastle to have lunch at Jamies before I go to the airport, so that will be nice. She went to Newcastle earlier to go clothes shopping.
Taking very little in the way of clothes with me as my small case is full of daughters' requests for paracetamol, lemsip , hayfever tablets...all of which seem to be expensive in Holland. Then there's her Easter egg, malteser bunnies, mini eggs, cereal bars ....plus Easter sweeties and Jaffa cakes from Granny!
Hope everyone has a good Easter weekend and the sun shines. I seem to have missed the heatwave in Amsterdam...it was last weekend!0 -
Afternoon - made it home! Drove via Helensburgh to bank a cheque for DM and drop off a large bag of books in Oxfam which is right next door to the bank.
Then went back to Wrose (about a mile) for shopping. They had loads and loads of stuff with yellow stickers on so I chucked a load in the trolley. Now got a lovely piece of lamb shoulder and cauliflower cheese in the oven alongside a big roasting tin of chicken thighs marinaded in garlic and rosemary - all for less than half price. :j
DM gave me some home made cake so I'm all sorted. The drive home was fairly clear most of the way. Rain showers and bright sunshine still. Now need to unpack my wee rucksack and put the flowers in water. Then I'm hoping to get out into the garden to pot up the herbs I bought earlier in the week.
Happy days!0 -
[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]LameWolf Yes, dressing is interesting and massively frustrating! I can't wear a bra at the mo, putting it on is almost impossible and if I do manage it, the shoulder strap is unbearable. I can't wear most of my clothes, they feel too heavy, so I have a choice of three floaty tops – which are a bit see-through so I have to wear a vest underneath them. Putting the vest on is a bit like having a wrestling match with myself

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]I'm pleased to report that the little mouse is now free, he was last seen running into a rapeseed field in North NibleyThere are two in the trap this morning, I'm not sure where they'll end up, I'll let you know tomorrow

I'm glad you're freeing the wee mousies.
Got a Meet'n'Greet visit in a little while - another Staffie. Mr LW is going to hole up in the bedroom with Ronnie for the duration - I need to take Ronnie for a walk first though, so better go and do that I think.
Lainey well done on successfully freeing the jackdaw. :T I hope he didn't leave a "calling card".If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi everyone.
Dh finally got his injection :j although we had to wait nearly an hour even though we had an appointment. I sometimes wonder why you are given a time when it never gets adhered to. We were so late that we had to go to T*sco cafe for a drink and a sandwich before we shopped. We had left at 10am and just got back home at 3pm, so another day gone, good job we are retired !
Dad is coming to tea today and it will be pork ribs and chips, that's if he remembers the ribs as they are in his freezer because he filled mine with 3 legs of lamb. Also bought some chocolate topped doughnuts for afterwards as I don't like hot cross buns, it's the cinnamon - I can't stand the smell or taste.
Hugs to anyone who needs / wants one and have a lovely time if you are going on holiday.
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Evening all. We had a lovely day out, even though it was rather nippy. Sun in short supply too. Nothing caught my eye in the numerous cs and I recited my mantra as I went round - "Do NOT buy any more books till the big stockpile goes down!"
We enjoyed a large late lunch of ham, eggs, chips, peas, mushrooms and tomato. And very nice it was too. Supper is going to be toasted hot cross buns (sorry NANNYWINDOW!) as I CBA making anything else!
Hope you enjoy your evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
