Butlins sun holiday

So we have booked a Butlins break through the sun and we have a standard apartment. I was hoping to upgrade to one of their nicer accommodations and I assumed it would be the difference between their online prices e.g. our standard apartment is advertised at £210 and the nicer accommodation at £270 So I thought I would have to pay £60 But in fact they wanted £210 for the upgrade 😲 has anyone had any luck with getting upgrades cheaper before or on arrival any tips would be greatly appreciated 😁

i think it's very much pot luck...

it depends which resort you are going to and if it is busy or not...

We have been to Skegness in a standard and prefer standard here as it's at the front facing the sea.. I did once ask about an upgrade and it was going to be £60 but i chose not to do it as i like the location of the standard.

Bognor - we did a Sun deal - but when we arrived we had been upgraded to Gold ....at no extra cost. It was in our Easter Holidays but the schools down south had already gone back and so the place was empty.

Why do you want to upgrade? Is it worth it? I would rather spend the money on treats when i am there.
