Hi. Need some info please.
Looking for a prepay card for my son. Must be a card that cannot be overdrawn and cannot be used to withdraw cash. To be used only in shops and for online purchases. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks. M.

I don't think such a card exists.MeAndMe.2121 wrote: »... cannot be used to withdraw cash.0 -
Thanks grumbler.
Update: just found a prepay card called 'revolut' on which (they say) you can disable ATM withdrawal. Looking at that now.
Any more suggestions welcome...M.0 -
Well, what suggestions then? It's a popular card (mainly for using abroad). Just get it.
MSE: Revolut – perfect rates0 -
I have the revolut card, it's pretty good. You get a notification every time it's used, detailing where and the amount. You can switch off everything on the card. Only downside is you have to put a minimum of £10 on the card, and then it's £5 for delivery of the card. There was also about a months waiting list whenever I signed up back in December.0

A Revolut user can disable ATM withdrawals in the app. I presume you are intending to sign up yourself and give the card to your son to use, while you control it with the app, topping up and everything else. People on the currency board are reporting card delivery taking two or three days.MeAndMe.2121 wrote: »Thanks for the info Qualsa. I'm going to try it out...
Another option would be Soldo, also good for overseas use but with a monthly fee after the first three months. With this you can have a supplementary card for your son (if he's 8+), with his own name on it and his own app, but controlled by you and with ATM withdrawals able to be switched off.
