This is a cul de sac. The house is at the top of the road. You can't see the house, just the garage and car at the top.

If you do a 180 in Google Maps you'll see a road that goes off to the side.

Would having to turn the car around like this each day put you off? Might sound a silly question, just trying to get other opinions. The house itself is fine.

Thanks.

Sorry - but, yes; it's a silly question.

Whether it would put me off is irrelevant. The question is, does it put youoff?

    It wouldn't put me off.
In fact, Id probably reverse up your long drive making it easier when you leave your house.

Certainly not a decision factor on whether the house is right or not.
Indeed I wonder if your looking for an excuse not to commit.

I live at the end of a cul de sac where the turning road is outside my driveway. I always reverse into my driveway. Hasn't bothered me once in the 5 months I've lived there.

Every day I reverse down a shared drive, and into a garage off to the side. After a couple of days, I stopped even thinking about it - you would, too.

    Oh Dear.

I guess there is a market for those with too much money to burn or can't drive.......

I think their market is mainly for where there's little other option (e.g. because planners demand that nobody is to reverse in or out of a new driveway onto a main road - so you need some way of turning round within your plot)

It wouldn't put me off as you soon get used to odd parking. I used to live in the corner of a cul de sac and had to reverse along a S shaped bend each day. After a week I could do it without thinking. The only parking issue that concerns me is too many cars and not enough space in the road. I remember once walking around San Francisco and seeing the ways the residents were having to park on the really steep streets - eeek!

Yes it would, looks ok from the street view and only one car on the road but add more.
