I was working for a financial company a number of years back and they were bought out.
While the buying company had a huge project on, where they were refitting all the branch offices - and the planning had been going on a year and they'd started .....

I had a secret project to close down all the branches of the company who had been bought out ... and a few of the other branches - including 2 that had been refitted the week before.

Sometimes things are so long in the pipeline that you can't just stop them.

They sometimes open stores on short term leases then close and move to another location. They've recently opened one in Maidstone that is due to close straight after Xmas.

Freeport at Fleetwood, Lancashire have a Works and if you use a VIP card (order from http://www.freeport-fleetwood.com/vip/) you get a further 10% discount. Card can be used at a number of stores at Freeport - any that display the VIP sign in the window. Cannot be used at Next, Marks & Spencers and the Hallmark shop. Also some shops will not accept card when a sale is on. It is always worth asking though.
