I have read all of your posts and here is my SOA.
My salary: £440 per month
his salary £1000 per month
Benefits £100 per month

Total = £1540

Monthly outgoing
Mortgage £426
Tax £93
Gas £32
Electric £29
T.V licence £12
NTL £50 (broadband, t.v & telephone)
Food £380
car insurance £43
Petrol £60
Life insurance £19
Home insurance £29
Sickness & death £18
Savings £25 (daughters savings)
Savings £50 (my savings)

Total =£1266

Loans etc

Alliance & leicester 7.5% owe 16,600
First plus 8.5% 6,600 (secured loan)
Littlewoods 1,250
Virgin credit card 15.5% 1320
virgin credit card 15.5% 2,100
argos 29.9% 400

Bad eh!:eek:

Was going to get a loan out to pay off all my credit but whats the point in getting in more debt. Also the equity in my house would not be enough.

Life insurance £19can you get these insurances cheaper? Do you need sickness?

Is OH with you on tackling debts? Both start a spending diary & see where you can cut back. Debts are scary but when you set your mind to it you can make great inroads - although some days are tougher than others! Lots of people on here to support you & we even have sat night parties! Consolodation rarely works, what you need to do is change your lifestyle! Hugs for you!

Just wanted to say welcome to the board.

I am a newbie too so I am sure there will be some people along shortly with more experience to help with your SOA.

My only comment is the savings you have each month, do you have any money in a savings account you can transfer onto your debt as any interest earnt on your savings will be lost in the APR on your debts.

p.s. Love the user name I bet your daughter likes Night Garden

Thanks ever so much for that, been thinking of getting rid of the ntl, and now i know you can get freeview with them i definately will.
Also my other half seems to think money grows on trees, pursuading him though. x

Yeah will transfer some of my savings, but going to leave a little just in case of an emergency! because with my luck just lately it is bound to happen.

Daughter absolutely loves in the night garden, bet your's is a doodle do fan.

Go to one of the free debt advice agencies like Consumer Credit councelling service for free....

Also to say welcome & climb abroad! Lots of us here, all in debt (well most!) and supporting each other out of it! Bug hug for you. The sorting is the hardest but it does get easier!

Phoned the national debtline help number that i got from this website.
Glad to hear someone say that debt does get easier. also comforting to know there are people out there in the same boat as me. (not that i would wish debt on anyone)

Stop savings meantime.
If you put that amount to Argos it will soon come down & thats 1 debt less!
