I am in quite some debt, well i think i am. here are my debts.
Alliance & leicester (7.5%) owe £16,600
First plus (8.5%) owe 6,600
Littlewoods owe 1,250
Virgin credit card (15.5%) owe 1,320
virgin credit card (15.5%) owe 2,100
Argos (29.9%) owe £400
They are pretty much it as well as owing my dad £300. I have phoned the national debtline up and i am considering a debt management programme.
Our monthly income is £1550 per month (basic) and we are paying out about £1700 per month. I am not getting any where with my debts.
I would be greatful for any info on what to do and wether anyone has or is on a debt management plan.
Thanks x:hello:

Hi there upsy daisy from oops a daisy :hello:
have a look at the sticky thread at the top of the list of threads called 'first time posters' by southern scouser. Try to do a full Statement Of Affairs ( SOA ) so that a full picture of your current situation can be looked at and the best advice can be given. Also there is a thread on here for support for poeple on DMPlans - you may find some good advice there and others in your situation.
Well done on posting - you have made the first step - good luck xoopsx:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Hi there and welcome to DFW, and MSE.
There are lots of people on these boards who are on a debt management plan, and will be very happy to give you the support and advice that you need.
I will try and find a link to the thread for you.....back in a mo, unless someone beats me to it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Upsy Daisy. Welcome to the board.
First off, leave National Debtline alone as they will charge you for their services. If you need free legal advice on DMP's then go to the Citizen's Advice Bureau (I can never spell that word!) or the Consumer Credit Counselling Service. Local numbers for both of these should be in your phone book.
Also, I would suggest that you post a statement of affairs in this thread. For details on this see the sticjy at the top of the board, but basically its a list of your monthly incomings and outgoings. The clever people on this board (we all wear white coats and glasses) will then pick it apart and see if we can save you any money. And if you have any wuestions, please do not be afraid to ask.
Regards,
