Good morning all

Once again I have washing in the machine but it looks a bit greyer out there today. Yesterday turned out to be such a lovely day that we went for a very enjoyable walk in the afternoon.

I have no major plans for today although will go to the SM to get supplies for Good Friday so I can start my cooking tomorrow morning. On Saturday we are out for a day's walking with friends so will have to get picnic food as well.

I have just one credit card bill left to come from our 6 week Aussie trip but I know roughly how much that will be and then I can see how much money we have to play with. Since coming back we've had to spend £400 on treatment for our elderly cat plus have a new shower in the bathroom so I'm hoping nothing else happens soon.

Yesterday I bought one of the 29p Aldi cauliflowers and it was huge! Made a cauliflower cheese and there's half left so we'll have to eat it up today. Also got a bag of their 29p potatoes so our meal last night, along with the ingredients for the sauce, cost about 50p each.

Off to put the kettle on - again. Bye for now.
• Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Very dull morning, grey and cold. I want to take the cuttings off the geraniums and pot them up, two to a pot with a bottle cut in half over them. Will have to make sure they are watered before we go away next week.

OH is being very wary, he says he is not going to argue any more!! just express an opinion.......that sounds interesting.

We went shopping yesterday morning, I spent the afternoon on the settee reading. OH was in the garden, he knows my feelings about the amount of time he is spending out there, it is not necessary, so if he complains about being tired there will be no sympathy and he knows it.

We have to go and collect the two pairs of shears we left to be sharpened later this morning. I am going to take my dressmaking shears see if he can sharpen them.

Mac and cheese for supper tonight.

Morning all,
Also grey and raining quite hard here atm,but its not rained much this last couple of weeks. There'll be no park for the DGC when they come later if it keeps it up.

Didnt really do much yesterday, apart from I hitched a lift to As da when DH called home for something.Got some basic food supplies and the E eggs for the children and my niece. I rang a sewing machine repair shop about my overlocker and it seems the part needed would be hard to track down.He doesn't deal with that particular make so would be searching the internet just like I've been doing and not having any joy,so looks like it's had it :(Bedding is in the washer but need to remake it yet.Pooch walked and subsequently dried off :D

I have to sort out a basket in my kitchen cupboard,I was looking for the seeds I sprinkle over my yogurt, and managed to drop the open bag in to it. I used to have a wonderful cleaning lady when I was still working, couldn't afford one now,but if I could I'd try not to feel guilty as she was happy with the extra income & it was really great not to spend precious free time cleaning. She loved our dog too :D

TA sorry you had a bad day.Our front door has already had 2 new locks and its less than 2 years old, just not built to last these days.Hope your suspicions turn out to be unfounded.

Hugs to others in need xxx

I volunteer at the library this afternoon so want to have a quick shower, shampoo and look out an outfit. I also need to look out my cabin case and clothes to pack for tomorrow for Italy.

Spent yesterday afternoon with a friend investigating a crafters group which meets once a month and ended up stencilling a flag!

Not sure if a DD is coming over tonight and have some chicken breasts to use up so might just bake them and have them ready for a quick stir fry or pasta dish.

Big hugs to TA, dumpling, tru and anyone who could use one.

Afternoon all
It's another lovely day and the sun is shining again although there is a cooler breeze blowing.
Had to go to town this morning and popped into Primarni for some cheap T.shirts.(I'm such a mucky pup when I'm cooking, so didn't want to pay too much and they were only £2.50 each :) ).
Was going to have cottage pie with a cheesy thatch for tea with some leftover baguette, but DH fancies sausage and chips, who will win I wonder ? Place your bets please !
Tru I now realise why you are in so much pain, your shoulder must be terribly painful.
Elona Bon Voyage ! Have a great time in Italia .
Judi just a big "Thankyou"
TA my DH is on Leuprorelin acetate, as his cancer is stage 4. Because it is so expensive it has to be specially ordered and "someone" forgot
Having a potter on the computer this pm as Cba:rotfl:to do anything else. ( Naughty nan ! ) but as they say "a little bit of what you fancy does you good " and I fancy putting my feet up - so there ! :p
Have a good afternoon and hugs to all

Floss I have a frozen shoulder, when I say it won't cooperate I mean the range of motion is restricted. Should've seen me in the shower after the first couple of weeks, I couldn't lift my right arm to wash my armpit so I lifted it a bit with my left hand, gripped the rail, washed (quickly, because it hurt), then used my left hand to guide it back down again, lol. I had to put the toothpaste tube between my knees to unscrew the cap with my left hand, my right wouldn't unscrew it or hold the tube :D
I totally sympathise, I have exactly the same thing. Thankfully, Mr LW helps me a lot, supporting my arm so that I can wash, apply deodorant, and put my eye drops in. It hurts like hell, though. Dressing is "interesting" too, isn't it?
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
• (HUGS) for the frozen shoulder sufferers. I had one years ago and still remember the agony it caused.

ELONA just to wish you a lovely holiday and to tell you I am unashamedly envious. The Amalfi coast is such a beautiful area and the food incredibly good.

Got the shopping done this morning. Couple of bargains to boot. 5% fat mince in Iceland ys to half price (£1.50) so a few packs went in my basket. Got stocked up on white t-shirts in Sainsbobs - 25% off clothes so got 3 for £9. A good fit and nice quality. By the time we got to Aldi I had lost my list! I only forgot onions so my memory served me well!

Being very lazy this afternoon after a stressful and busy week. It's feet up time and to h*ll with neglected jobs! A couple of gammon steaks out for tea. We'll have with eggs and baby potatoes I think. I might even throw a few mushrooms on too. Nice 'n easy!

Enjoy the rest of the day folks and take care xx

Hi chums had a great day out and spent far too much but hey its only bits of paper and I only go up to my home town once a year :):):)treated the DGS to tee shirts and youngest DD to some perfume ,bought eldest DGS missus's birthday present which will have to be posted off next week to NYC and for myself I bought a nice bottle of Chanel no.5 and a new double fitted sheet from JL (i know how to live wild :):):)
DD bought a nice lunch for us both and we drank lots of coffee and did lots of nattering so all in all an excellent day.
Life is back to normal again and I intend to put my weary trotters up tonight and do absolutely nothing as the pavements of London are quite wearing on my feet :):):)
cheers chums

JackieO xx

P.S. spotted Janet Street Porter buying carpet tiles in JL :):):) so she is as normal as the rest of us :):):)

Evening all,

just a quick visit from me. Busy on childcare duties today. That Grandson of mine reminds me more and more of my Daughter every time I have him, though I suspect his Father has mountain goat geneology in him somewhere as my Grandson loves to climb. His favourite phrase is "Nanny come here". At one point I said "No" he answered "Your not supposed to say that". :D

Felt my baby Grand Daughter wriggle about in her Mummys tummy tonight. Oh how it bought back memories! Wonderful memories.:)

I was truly blessed being female.

Sleep well all.
