Proving ID for Credit Card

I've just been offered a promotional 0% credit card with Bank of Scotland (12 month purchases , 32 months balance transfers ) First mainstream credit card since 2007.
Anyway, although I bank with Bank of Scotland, they want to see proof of id. (probably cos ive just moved house)
I have to bring my documents to a branch. (difficult as i live in London) or post certified copies.
They say acceptable certifiers are solicitors or accountant.
I know neither.
Anyone know if it would be ok to get them certified elsewhere?

You don't need to know a solicitor. When I needed a certified copy of something I just walked in off the street to a local solicitor and it was copied and certified while I waited, for a fiver.0 -
Thanks both. I'll try Halifax first, then if that doesn't work, locate a local solicitor.Light Bulb Moment: Feb 2007

Visited a Halifax branch today with ID and my application reference number. All done in the branch, no problems whatsoever.
I MUST have had to do this when I opened the bank account, back in 2007, but I don't remember. Anyway, sorted now, thank you.Light Bulb Moment: Feb 2007
