Joint Current and Savings Accounts

Hi,

I'm looking to open up a couple of joint accounts with my boyfriend. We'd both like to keep our existing current accounts, into which we get paid. Then we would like....

- an account we both transfer a set amount each month into to pay for bills, food, etc - this will only be a couple of hundred pounds a month. A lot of the accounts I've seen say you have to pay in a minimum of £500. Are they any decent cash back accounts where you only have to pay in a small amount?

- a savings account that we each pay a set amount, or % of our salary, in to each month so save for holidays, etc. Ideally would need this to be easy access.

Thanks in advance!

    It's worth saying that it doesn't have to be a joint account that
    1. links you both financially so that the one with worse credit history affects negatively the one with a better history;
    2. can become yet another horror story should things go wrong and you split.

    You can pay £500 in then £300 back.

    Pretty much all banks offer savings accounts linked to the current one, however, unlike best current accounts, the interest they pay is pitiful. Consider a Regular Savings account that can pay high interest, but at the cost of limited flexibility.
