wheelie bin incinerator needed

I put out a half full wheelie bin once a fortnight so could probably go a month between collections ! I only have problems with my garden waste bin as I sometimes have too much in summer.0

Some councils charge for the bin to take garden waste, and some, like my parent's local one in NW Norfolk, will only allow one car load of wood etc a week - and yes they will turn you away. A dumb and shortsighted policy that means fly tipping is a big problem.
In a rural area and under those kind of rules then a garden incinerator makes perfect sense. And one on wheels is even more convenient.
From an environmental point of view, burning garden waste shouldn't be much of a concern, a plant over it's lifecycle is carbon neutral - all the carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere came from the atmosphere. And I'm slightly surprised by the post about burning lino - proper lino is quite an eco product. Of course - vinyl flooring is a rather different issue ...
From Wiki - Linoleum, also called Lino, is a floor covering made from materials such as solidified linseed oil (linoxyn), pine rosin, ground cork dust, wood flour, and mineral fillers such as calcium carbonate, most commonly on a burlap or canvas backing; pigments are often added to the materials.0 -
OP, as much as anything else, different materials burn at different temperatures and so may damage any container that you put it in if it burns at a high heat.
Many years ago, my dad brought home an old aluminium beer barrel. We depressurised it, and cut off the top and inner section and made some holes at the bottom for air flow. This was our incinerator. It was generally just used for waste from the garage - wood, shavings etc.
Re comments on recycling etc.... over a period of years and training the kids and our own mindsets, we have gone from a situation where we always had the 'landfill' bin overflowing and desperate for a collection to now having the recycling bins (paper, card, plastics, tin) desperate for collection every cycle.
We often have to make a journey to the local dump to take additional plastics/card etc - not very environmentally friendly is it :-)0 -
You can not burn domestic waste in the garden or an open fire (this includes wood stoves). To do so is an offence under several laws in England & Wales.
Which ones?Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
