Any recommendations for cheapest calls to Egyptian mobile?

Any recommendations for cheapest way to call an Egyptian mobile from a UK mobile - I have a package with unlimited UK to UK mins and free 0800 and 030 numbers etc..

Hi there

I used to work in Port Said and i used whatsapp and facebook to make voice calls much easier

Another option i used was skype personal number so basically i had a Liverpool phone number from skype and when people rang that they paid for a local number but it came through to me via skype

Thanks but both whatsapp, skype and facetime don't connect - I'd read that the Egyptian gov had blocked them... messenger still works but sometimes we both have mobile network but not net coverage so was looking for a backup cheap phone to phone alternative.

One option is the app Planet Talk. The call quality is very good. The person who you call doesn't need to use the app, so you can use it to phone a landline. You get free £1 credit, which gives you 120 minutes of free calls.

The cheapest rate to Egypt Mobiles is around 8p or 9p a minute

If you have inclusive 0870 calls you could use http://www.callhappy.co.uk/cheap-calls-to-egypt but beware most providers say you cant use them to make Intl Calls.
