I've not heard of that, but a quick Google suggests that it's a felt roof repair kit ? If your parents' roof is indeed fibreglass then you'd be better off using fibreglass to form a temporary repair - something like this : http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/fillers-preparation/davids-fastglass-glass-fibre-kit-small

It's basically a sheet of fibreglass matting, and a bottle of resin and some hardner ( I just used Halfords as an example, it's easily available at many online places or most DIY shops ). It's very easy to use - though wear disposable gloves, it's absolutely 'orrible to try and clean off your hands - I speak from experience !

It won't be ideal, but it should form a pretty good temporary repair - and it's not expensive.

If you use the halfords kit, a tip - Use a little less hardener than you think is required. Too much hardener, and the stuff becomes quite brittle.

Nail varnish remover is good for cleaning hands & tools - Also worth giving the area being patched a wipe (but don't use too much).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
