Help - first car insurance

I'm completely confused over which car insurance to buy.
I bought a car yesterday. (currently has 5 day drive away insurance)
I have a provisional license at the moment. (Test in about a months time).
I would like to use my car to practice in outside of lessons.
So i need to insure my car for me with a provisional license, which can then be changed to full licence insurance once I have passed. My husband (has a full license) will be a named driver but can't include his 10 year no claims as it can only be used on one car which will be his existing car.
I've done comparisons on provisional license insurance and then on full license insurance but the results don't offer the same list of insurers.
Where do I start? Should I go with the company that offers the lowest quote for full license insurance and pay more for the temporary provisional license bit? Is it even possible to change the terms to full license within the first year?
Help! THANKS

Yes you can change your licence details with your insurer at any time (and must do so immediately) - though be sure the insurer that is happy to accept you as a learner will also accept you when you pass your test.0
